The Gold Feather Dance Team
The Gold Feather Dance Team was formed in 1995 by a group of scouts who were interested in Native American customs and traditions. They were members of Sanhican Lodge #2. In 1999 Sanhican Lodge merged with Narritikon Lodge #9 to form Sakuwit Lodge #2.
The Gold Feather Dance Team performs traditional Northern Plains Style songs and dance. We base our songs and dances from the traditions of the Lakota. all of our regalia is researched and is made as authentically as possible. We hold practices on Wednesday at West Trenton Presbyterian Church. We are available for performances. There is no charge for our performances but we ask that a donation be made to the lodge to defer the cost of our regalia which we make by hand.
